La artista española Laura Vicente impartirá clases a pequeños grupos de estudiantes de entre 8 y 12 años, enseñándoles técnicas básicas de acuarela mientras fomenta su creatividad. En cada sesión, se trabajará sobre un personaje clave en la historia de la humanidad, muchos de ellos españoles o hispanoamericanos, el objetivo es crear conciencia sobre el papel que han desempeñado diferentes figuras, como escritores, pintores, científicos, líderes sociales en la sociedad, a la vez que se mejora su habilidad de comunicacion en español. Como siempre, nuestro enfoque principal es estimular la creatividad y la expresión artística. Al final de cada sesión, cada estudiante se llevará a casa su propia obra maestra, además de un mayor conocimiento de nuestra historia y de la maravillosa técnica de la acuarela. Para poder aprovechar este curso, se requieren habilidades orales básicas en español por parte de los asistentes. El instructor podrá comunicarse con ellos de forma natural en ambos idiomas. Puede registrarse para una sola sesión u optar por un programa estructurado de cursos semanales. Le recomendamos inscribirse con al menos 24 horas de antelación, si es posible. Cada clase tiene una duración de 2 horas y se aceptan devoluciones. Todos los materiales necesarios están incluidos. Spanish artist Laura Vicente has designed these workshops to embrace the Hispanic culture and the development of creative abilities by learning watercolor techniques. She willl be teaching small groups of students between the ages of 8-12 basic skills in watercolor and creativity while exploring the unique character and contributions of Hispanic (and beyond) artists and public figures throughout human history. Each session will focus on a different figure, creating awareness of their roles in society and encouraging students to improve their communication skills in the Spanish language. As always, facilitating creativity and artistic expression is our specialty! Your child will leave every session with his/her own masterpiece and a greater understanding of art history and the applications of watercolor. Some basic oral skills in Spanish are required for students, but the instructor is fluent in both English and Spanish. Sign up for a single session or register for the weekly course structure. Please register at least 24 hours in advance if possible. Classes are 2 hours each - drop offs welcome. All materials included.
