2018 Cycle for Survival Fundraiser

For four years running, ArteVino has hosted an annual Cycle for Survival Fundraiser with Equinox Fitness. Cycle for Survival raises funds and awareness for rare cancers, including brain, pancreatic, ovarian, pediatric, and others. Last year Cycle for Survival raised $34 million dollars to help fight these rare diseases - team Equinox helped by raising $10,000.
Equinox has chosen to use ArteVino for their fundraising events again and again because "Art is good therapy. ArteVino provides us with a way to give an experience, and raise money and awareness at the same time", says Gisela Delgado, Creative Events Director at Equinox.
ArteVino offers an unusual fundraising experience because people can participate in a positive event that allows them to unwind and enjoy themselves - it's not your average fundraiser. At past Cycle for Survival/ArteVino fundraisers guests have been able to celebrate and remember those they know that may be fighting a rare cancer, or those they have lost, in a way that they may have not explored before. It becomes an outlet and a stress relief. One past fundraiser turned into an impromptu dance party, where guests were dancing and painting at the same time!
Equinox offers raffle prizes and also accepts direct donations during the events as well. And Cycle for Survival receives 100% off all proceeds within 6 months time, making this a great cause that allows donators to see their money being used in a positive way.
Gisela likes to hang her paintings at home, or give them to special people in her life, including her cousin who has been battling cancer for many years as a source of encouragement.
